about me
personal bio
Scientifically:
I completed my BS in Neuroscience with a certificate in Statistics & Data Science at Yale University in 2021, where I studied the neural mechanisms of behavioral impairment in a rat model of absence epilepsy in Hal Blumenfeld’s lab. I then spent a year working with Carsen Stringer at Janelia using computational methods to study neural representations of behavior in mouse recordings of tens of thousands of neurons with behavioral keypoint tracking. Now, I am at Columbia University in the MD/PhD program, specifically in the Nuttida Lab as part of the Neurobiology and Behavior PhD program. I study how the brain adapts to cognitive load and distractors in working memory, using analysis of human intracranial recordings and recurrent neural network modeling.
Medically:
I am interested in neurology (or maybe psychiatry), though things aren’t certain yet! More importantly, I’m passionate about medicine through a lens of social justice and equitable access to care and other basic needs.
Personally:
In my free time, I enjoy playing piano and [card, board, video] games, walking in parks, and exploring the city.
